X Introduces Grok AI-powered Stories Feature

Microblogging platform X has introduced a new feature named 'Stories', powered by Grok AI, which is to provide users with concise summaries of popular social media posts for easier consumption.

The feature is currently available to only X Premium subscribers on the iOS and web versions. Android users will have to wait for this update.

This AI feature was disclosed in a post on the official X Engineering account which indicated the version’s availability to only web and iOS and requested user feedback.

Users can access this feature from the 'For You' section of the X app and website, which will help them find their relevant posts of interest on top. This will save them from reading the whole post, as the AI ability will give them the gist of any big stories.

Further, X is in the process of developing an AI news summary tool named Particle, intending to create concise summaries of lengthy news articles. On the other hand, the Grok AI will specifically focus on summarising only the most popular and trending posts.
