According to sources, the US-based investment firm GQG Partners and other investors have acquired shares in Adani Enterprises and Adani Green Energy, exceeding $900 million in total.
The investors reportedly purchased a stake from the Adani family, as per individuals familiar with the matter.
On Wednesday, a single block witnessed the trading of 1.8 crore shares of Gautam Adani's flagship company, Adani Enterprises. Additionally, a total of 11.4 lakh shares of Adani Green Energy were transacted in 24 significant deals.
The block deal for Adani Enterprises was executed at a price of Rs 2,300, while trades for Adani Green were valued at Rs 920 per share.
Today, as the Sensex and Nifty achieved record highs in early trade, stocks of the Adani Group emerged as top gainers.
Earlier this year, GQG Partners made a $1.9 billion investment in the Adani Group. Since then, sources suggest that the investment firm has augmented its holding by nearly $400 million.
