Why are drummers switching from their traditional drum kits to your flagship product - Cajons?
Cajons are convenient, lightweight and very portable. Cajons are simple to use, attracting both experienced drummers and beginners. Their compact design allows drummers to explore various playing techniques and surfaces, creating diverse rhythms and sounds. Furthermore, there is a growing preference for acoustic performances and light music in venues such as cafes and live concerts. In these settings, Cajons fit perfectly, providing a unique and versatile sound that creates a warm, intimate musical atmosphere. As a result, Cajons are becoming a popular alternative to traditional drum kits for drummers looking for a different musical experience.
How did you come up with this idea and go about executing it as a 20 year old entrepreneur back in 2016?
As an active drummer for my college’s music band, the idea for my venture originated from my own desire to own a Cajon. The high prices in the market made it impossible for me to purchase one, and carrying my drum kit everywhere was impractical. So, I took the initiative to build a basic Cajon for my personal use. It was a daunting task, but through extensive research and development, I managed to create one that served me well during my performances.
During this journey, I realized that the high cost of Cajons was a common obstacle for many aspiring musicians who were unable to kickstart their musical journeys. This realization fueled my determination to solve this problem and make affordable Cajons more accessible to all. That’s how CLAPBOX was born.
With continuous efforts in development and refinement, we overcame the initial challenges and achieved success in producing flawless Cajons. Today, we are proud to have built a thriving business that addresses the needs of aspiring musicians, ensuring that they can pursue their passion without financial constraints by offering them a wide variety of musical instruments.
