Twitter is reportedly planning to introduce a new feature called “Twitter Hiring,” that will enable verified organisations to post job listings directly on their profiles.
The microblogging major is yet to announce the development officially. But reports confirmed some verified organisations have already added job listings under their Twitter bios, redirecting interested applicants to their company websites for further details and applications.
The reports mentioned that the feature allows verified firms to showcase any five job positions on their profiles highlighting an opportunity for their open positions. Also, an import option will be offered to these organisations that will allow them to import all their open jobs by connecting to a supported ATS or XML feed, streamlining the process of a job listing on the platform, the report said additionally.
Reports attributed the action to Elon Musk’s hint in May where he mentioned adding functionalities and features for jobs.
Twitter's recent acquisition, Laskie (a job-matching tech startup), is believed to be playing an important role in the progress of the “Twitter Hiring” feature.
This feature is reportedly known to be accessed by media company Workweek within Twitter for organisations package which is priced at USD 1,000 per month.
Twitter's new function is expected to compete with LinkedIn which helps companies and individuals search for candidates and jobs.
