Indian two-wheeler manufacturer TVS Motor Company has forayed in the 125cc scooter segment with the launch of TVS NTORQ 125.
Designed for the youth, TVS NTORQ 125 has been developed based on the TVS Racing pedigree and comes with the CVTi-REVV 3 Valve engine.
The scooter is presently available in Disc variant.
It is going to compete with the likes of Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125, and Honda Grazia.
TVS NTORQ 125 premieres the TVS SmartXonnect, a Bluetooth-enabled technology which is paired to an exclusive NTORQ mobile App which can be downloaded from google play store.
TVS SmartXonnect enables a host of first-in-segment additions to the fully digital speedometer, which boasts of 55 features including navigation assist, top speed recorder, in-built lap-timer, phone-battery strength display, last parked location assist, service reminder, trip meter and multi-ride statistic modes such as Street and Sport.
Taking cue from the design of a stealth aircraft, TVS NTORQ 125 comes equipped with features like signature tail and LED tail lamps, a sporty stub muffler, an aggressive headlamp cluster and textured floor board, and diamond cut alloy wheels.
The scooter gets wider 110x80x12 tubeless tyres along with telescopic suspension. Features such as pass by switch, dual side steering lock, parking brakes and engine kill switch also adorns NTORQ 125. It comes with external fuel fill, USB charger, large under-seat storage and TVS patented EZ center stand.
Price
The TVS NTORQ 125 will be available at a price of Rs 58,750. Suzuki Access 125 comes in two variants - Drum Brake (Rs 55,045), and Disk Brake (Rs 58,350).
Honda Activa 125 is available in three forms - Drum (Rs 57,633), Drum Alloy (Rs 59,563), and Disc (Rs 62,005). The newly launched Honda Grazia has been priced for Rs 58,133 (Drum variant), Rs 60,063 (Drum Alloy variant), and Rs 62,505 (Disc variant).
