Engineering company Texmaco Rail & Engineering announced on Saturday that it has secured a Rs 243-crore order from the Mumbai Railway Vikas Corporation (MRVC) for power supply projects on two crucial routes in Maharashtra.
Texmaco's hyper-specialised EPC division, Bright Power, will oversee the comprehensive tasks of designing, constructing, installing, testing, and commissioning the power supply infrastructure. This infrastructure will be deployed on the 3rd and 4th lines from Virar to Dahanu and the new suburban corridor between Panvel and Karjat.
The scope of work includes the construction of two 25 KV traction substations and other associated infrastructure, according to a company statement.
"This order is a significant milestone for us and reinforces our position as a key player in the railway infrastructure sector," said Texmaco Vice Chairman Indrajit Mookherjee. He expressed optimism about the new order and its potential to contribute to the company's growth.
The project underscores Texmaco's capabilities in delivering critical railway infrastructure and aligns with its strategy to enhance its footprint in the railway sector.
