Tablesh Pandey Appointed As Managing Director Of LIC
Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) of India appointed Tablesh Pandey as the Managing Director of the Corporation, pursuant to the Government of India's notification on March 13, 2023. Pandey will be taking over from B. C. Patnaik, who will be retiring soon.
Pandey, who is currently serving as the Executive Director at LIC of India, Central Office, Mumbai, will assume charge as Managing Director on or after 1 April 2023, and his tenure will continue until the date of his retirement or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
He is a seasoned professional with over three decades of experience in the life insurance industry. He has been associated with LIC of India for the past 35 years and has served in various capacities, including the role of Executive Director (Investment Operations) and Executive Director (International Operations). Shri Pandey holds a Bachelor's degree in Science and a Postgraduate degree in Business Administration.
The appointment of Shri Pandey is expected to bring in a fresh perspective and lead to the further growth and development of LIC of India. The Corporation, which is the largest insurance company in the country, has been serving the nation since 1956 and has been instrumental in promoting social welfare through various insurance schemes.
