India has always warmly welcomed dishes and food across the world. Potatoes, Tomatoes and Chillies all come from the United States of America and have become the staple food of the Indian dietary menu.
Likewise, cranberries are emerging as a versatile food that is being served as snacks, medicine as well and dessert in India.
Talking about the same, Danny Raulerson, Executive Director, Cranberry Marketing Committee remarked that among every other thing, the US and India share a long tradition of food.
He added that it is delightful to see how US Cranberries in India have gained popularity. I am particularly happy to see how US Cranberries are being integrated into traditional Indian foods.
When festivities are around the corner in India, US Cranberries and cranberry juice to Indian trade including importers, distributors, retailers and food processors, the Cranberry Marketing Committee organised a trade seminar to escalate the sales in Indian markets.
According to Raulerson, India is one of the vast and important markets for US cranberries as it has a large population of diverse tastes and preferences.
He has also mentioned that India has seen tremendous demand for both dried US Cranberries and Cranberry juice in India. Talking about the affordability aspect, he also added that Indians focus value-based lifestyle not on lifestyle, if something adds value to their lifestyle and it is even a little expensive, they will go and buy it.
US cranberries are commonly available both with retail dry fruit sellers and e-commerce platforms,” Saran added.
In addition to that, Indian Chefs - Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Chef Rakhee Vaswani, Chef Vicky Ratnani, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi, Chef Nishant Choubey and Chef Yogesh and a leading Indian mixologist Shatbhi Basu, US Cranberries India is conducting a series of a culinary training program with five important hospitality institutes in Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Jaipur and Kolkata.
