After the launch of Samsung’s flagship handsets Galaxy S9 and S9+, the prices of their predecessors (Galaxy S8 and S8+) have been reduced.
After the price cut, 64GB variant Galaxy S8 is now available at Rs 49,990 (earlier at Rs 57,990), 64 GB variant of Galaxy S8+ is available at Rs 53,990 (earlier at Rs 64,990), and the 128GB variant of S8+ now comes at Rs 64,990 (earler Rs 70,900).
The two smartphones are available on Flipkart, Samsung India e-store and local dealers.
The smartphones are available in midnight black and maple gold shades; the bigger one also comes in coral blue shade. They are also dust and water resistant.
The handsets are powered by Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC-, which is pretty similar to Snapdragon 838 chipset. Both smartphones runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and have a 4GB RAM.
The smartphones have an internal storage of 64GB/128GB, which is expandable up to 256 GB in a hybrid dual SIM configuration. The S8 and S8+ are backed by in-built 3000mAh and 3500mAh batteries, respectively, and support wireless as well as fast charging.
The Samsung Galaxy S8 comes with a 5.8-inch and S8+ in 6.2-inch QHD+ (1440x2960 pixels) Super AMOLED display. Both smartphones have rear-mounted fingerprint scanner, iris scanner and facial recognition.
Talking about the camera, both smartphones have a 12 megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8 megapixel front camera.
Connectivity options in the smartphones are: 4G LTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth v5.0, USB Type-C, NFC and GPS.
