The Punjab Cabinet, chaired by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on Monday transferred 124 officers from the Punjab Public Service Commission and the Indian Administrative Services. These officers are currently assigned to different departments within the state.
In addition, the Punjab Cabinet declared the relocation of seven Indian Police Service (IPS) officers and 143 Deputy Superintendents of Police (DSPs) to different state departments.
This major change coincides with the induction of five new cabinet ministers into the administration by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, while many details about the official transfers remain unclear.
The Aam Aadmi Party's Mahinder Bhagat, Ravjot Singh, Barinder Kumar Goyal, Tarunpreet Singh Sond, and Hardeep Singh Mundian swore oaths to become cabinet ministers.
