Women are emerging victorious in every field and sector. Earlier, they were considered bound to home and cook food for their family, but now they have turned this mindset and established themselves as successful restauranteurs. Not just limited to cooking now they running the whole culinary business.
Tanya Bhardwaj, Co-founder & Chief Brand Officer, of The Grammar Room, is one such woman who shared the evolution of women’s role in the culinary industry and the values over which she is driving her business.

How do you think the role of women in the culinary industry has evolved over the years, and what changes would you like to see in the future?
In the last few years, there have been a lot of women entrepreneurs and chefs who have led by example and run establishments and brands across the globe, who are now getting the space and recognition they deserve. It has definitely been an evolution and hopefully, we will have more women in the F&B industry playing roles that have predominantly been led by men earlier.
How has being a woman in the culinary industry influenced your entrepreneurial journey? Can you share any stories or experiences where you've seen the impact of women supporting women in the workplace?
Being a woman in the culinary industry has greatly influenced my entrepreneurial journey. It has allowed me to bring a fresh perspective, creativity, and a unique approach to my work. I've faced challenges along the way, but they have only made me stronger and more determined to succeed. As a woman, I strive to inspire and empower others in the industry, and I'm proud to be a part of the positive changes happening. The culinary world is evolving, and I'm excited to contribute to its growth and diversity.
What advice do you have for young women who aspire to be entrepreneurs in male-dominated industries?
Have faith in yourself, and work with grit and perseverance, that will lead you to wherever you want to be in your respective life.
In your opinion, what are some of the biggest challenges that women face in the business world today, and how can we overcome them?
Overcoming stereotypes and gender norms is a constant challenge and the only thing I feel that can change it is more representation. More women in the workforce need to become the norm, especially in leadership positions.
How do you balance creativity and innovation with maintaining the core values and identity of The Grammar Room?
Creativity and Innovation are the core values of TGR! We thrive on pushing our boundaries and learning something new about ourselves in the process.
What has been the proudest moment for you in your journey with The Grammar Room so far?
Part of our opening team is still with us - 6 years later. And our regulars over the years have become like family- it's really a huge factor of pride for me and the team.
As the Chief Brand Officer of The Grammar Room, how do you promote gender equality and empower women within your organization?
Being a woman in any industry is a delicate balance of perseverance and self-belief. We need spaces where our voices are heard and value is placed on our thoughts. TGR is one such space.
