Chinese brand Oppo has launched their new mid-range smartphone Oppo A83 in India. Priced at Rs 13,990, Oppo A83 will go on sale through Amazon, Flipkart, and offline channels from 20 January across India. It is available in two colours- champagne and black.
Oppo A83 runs ColorOS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. It is powered by MediaTek 6737T octa-core processor coupled with ARM Mali G71 GPU and 3GB RAM. It has 32GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB through a MicroSD card.
The metal body handset features a 5.7-inch HD+ (1440x720) display with 18:9 aspect ratio. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and an 8-megapixel front camera. The rear camera also has a Ultra-HD mode, with which users can take 50-megapixel photos.
The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3,180mAh battery. Other than the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, there is also a facial recognition feature with which you can unlock the device.
Connectivity options are- Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm audio-jack, Micro-USB, and GPS. It measures 150.5 x 73.1 x 7.7mm and weighs 143 grams.
Oppo A83 will face competition with the recently launched Honor 9 Lite and Samsung Galaxy On7 Prime which are priced at Rs 10,999 and Rs 12,990, respectively.
