Chinese smartphone brand Oppo has launched the new version of their budget smartphone Oppo A71 in India. Priced at Rs 9,990, the handset is available through Flipkart in India.
The new Oppo A71 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor instead of the MediaTek 6750 processor which featured in the previous version. Also, the smartphone runs on newer Color OS 3.2 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. Apart from that, everything else remains the same on the handset like the previous Oppo A71.
Specs and Features
Oppo A71 features a 5.2-inch HD (1280x720) display with 16:9 aspect ratio. It sports a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and LED Flash. On the front is a 5-megapixel selfie snapper with f/2.4 aperture. The handset is touted to have the A.I. Beauty recognition technology which enhances selfies.
The handset has a sleek metal unibody design which feels good to hold. The volume rockers are placed on the left. On the right is the power button and the dual SIM + MicroSD card tray.
The handset is sleek, it measures 148.1 x 73.8 x 7.6mm and weighs 137 grams. It comes and gold and black body shades.
Oppo A71 runs on Color OS 3.2 which is based on Android 7.1 Nougat. The handset is powered by a 1.8 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. The processor is based on ARM Cortex-A configuration with eight 1.6GHz Cortex A-53 cores.
Oppo made a good move by choosing Snapdragon processor over MediaTek’s processor in the previous device. According to Oppo, Snapdragon 450 has increased the app starting speed by 12.5 per cent.
The dual-SIM smartphone has 16GB storage which is expandable up to 256GB through a MicroSD card.
Oppo A71 is backed by a 3,000mAh battery which the company claims can deliver up to 15 hours of continuous video watching and 25 hours on the phone in a single charge.
Connectivity options are- Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2, Micro-USB, 3.5mm audio-jack, 4G VoLTE, and GPS.
