The Government of Odisha, on Thursday, a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Paradip Port and non-major ports of Odisha on the sidelines of the Global Maritime India Summit 2023.
The MoU was signed between Paradip Port Authority, Dredging Corporation of India and Odisha Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation.
Bhupendra Singh Poonia IAS, Managing Director, Industrial Promotion & Investment Corporation of Odisha, said, "Odisha is one of the fastest growing economies in India, consistently growing at 11.5 per cent above the national average. With its strategic location and gateway to the sea, network leading to the seaports, and opportunities for coastal shipping, Odisha’s unique proposition for the maritime sector will bolster the Industrial growth and development of Eastern India.
