Nokia has launched Nokia 8 Sirocco at the MWC 2018 in Barcelona. Nokia 8 Sirocco is the new redesigned version of their flagship device Nokia 8 which was launched last year. The handset is priced at EUR 749 (Roughly Rs 59,900) and comes in black colour.
Nokia 8 Sirocco runs on Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the-box and powered by a 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor coupled with 6GB RAM. It has 128GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB through a MicroSD card.
Nokia 8 Sirocco features a 5.5-inch IPS QHD (2560x1440) pOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection and 3D curved glass. It sports a 12-MP+13-MP dual rear camera, 12-MP is the wide-angle lens with f/1.75 aperture and 13-MP is the telephoto lens with f/2.6 aperture.
On the front is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with display flash, and f/2.0 aperture.
According to the company, Nokia 8 Sirocco’s body is 2.5 times stronger than the 6000 Aluminum series of its predecessor. The glass body handset is IP67 rated water and dust resistant.
The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3260mAh non-removable battery which also supports wireless charging. There is a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera with which the phone can be unlocked. Nokia 8 Sirocco does not have a 3.5mm audio-jack.
Nokia 8 Sirocco measures 140.93x 72.9 x 7.5mm. Its connectivity options are- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, and GPS/A-GPS.
Nokia 7 Plus
The company also launched Nokia 7 Plus which is priced at EUR 399 (roughly Rs 31,900). Nokia 7 Plus runs on Android 8.0 Oreo and powered by an Octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor coupled with 4GB RAM. It has 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB through MicroSD card.
Nokia 7 Plus features 6-inch FHD+ (2160x1080) IPS LCD display with 18:9 ratio and Corning Gorilla Glass 3. It sports 12-MP+13-MP dual rear camera with 2x optical zoon and dual tone LED flash. On the front is a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3800mAh battery. There is a rear mounted fingerprint sensor with which the phone can be unlocked. Unlike the Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 Plus comes with a 3.5mm audio-jack.
Connectivity options are- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, 4G VoLTE, USB Type-C, and GPS/A-GPS. The metal body Nokia 7 Plus measures 158.3 x 75.6 x 9.5mm; it comes in black and white shades.
