Lenovo launched its newest flagship smartphone under the Vibe range on Wednesday (January 27). The Vibe X3 is priced at Rs. 19,999 and was launched in China back in November 2015.
Lenovo has updated the design and the handset looks similar to the recently launched K4 Note having a curvier look and two stereo speakers upfront.
Update to the Vibe X2 which had a more rectangular look, the new Vibe X3 comes with a a 5.5 inch full HD (1080p) display and is powered by a Snapdragon 808 processor. There is 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of fixed internal storage so no option to add more memory. Cameras include a 21MP one at the front and an 8MP one on the front as well as a fingerprint scanner under the rear camera. It is a dual SIM and LTE enabled handset and has a 3,500mAh battery. Running on Android 5.1 Lollipop, it will come with Lenovo’s latest VibeUI.
The company has focused more on the overall experience on the handset rather than stressing on the specification, a very Motorola-esque move it seems. It has a metal frame with a curved back so that it fits well in the hand. Apart from the two powerful stereo speakers, Lenovo has added a premium 32-bit ESS Sabre 9018C2M DAC with 3x op-amp for music and Cirrus Logic Wolfson WM8281 for phone calls.
Along with these, the phone also offers Dolby Atmos effect over headphones and speakers. These features, according to Lenovo bring the best audio experience on a smartphone. The display offers a 100% NTSC color gamut coverage and also supports Lenovo's TheaterMax feature that works with the optional ANTVR headset priced at Rs.1,299 which was launched alongside the K4 Note.
The Vibe X3 will be available from Amazon.in starting from 28th January 2016.
