Leadership and wealth creation are two major things that businessmen should learn from ancient Indian culture, said Radhakrishnan Pillai, Founder, Chanakya Aanvikshiki on Saturday.
While speaking at the India Business Literature Festival (IBLF), he sharply said that wealth creation is an interesting model that all businessmen have forgotten.
Pillai also shed light on leadership qualities and explained the importance of a leader's foresight, vision and positive approach to handling any kind of situation.
He said, "I think across the globe, the so-called businessmen and wealth creators understand only one formula, which is called socio-economic— society first and economics later."
Pillai asserted that economics cannot be a standalone subject. He cited Chanakya and said that one should understand the culture, people and money will automatically come in.
While talking about India's rich culture and learnings on the world stage, the author of 'Corporate Chanakya' said, "When we globally talk about ancient wisdom, academically we have already achieved it."
Pillai also talked about his future plans as far as writing books are concerned. He added, "I enjoy reading and writing books, as I have published 21 books and three are under editing. Now I am writing a new book named— 'Chanakya For Startups' and I will continue writing."
Meanwhile, Corporate Chanakya is a book about leadership, management and training, where Pillai inserted the best sutras of Chanakya to provide tricks to achieve success in all these fields.
