Landmark Group, one of the leading retail and hospitality organisations in the Middle East, Africa and India, has announced the appointment of Vikram Idnani as President - Chief Information Officer (CIO) for its India business.
Prior to joining Landmark India, Idnani served as Senior Vice President - Head, Information Technology at Reliance Retail, where he was leading technology initiatives for all retail businesses.
In his new role at Landmark India, Idnani’s primary focus will be to drive technical innovation, enhance customer experience, deliver high-quality products and implement large-scale technology initiatives, the company said in a statement on Tuesday.
"I look forward to working alongside the talented team to realise the higher potential for the business. My aim is to accelerate the company's strategic growth, strengthen customer innovation experience, increase the agility of supply chain and implement new technology initiatives that will enable the business to scale,” said Idnani.
With an experience spanning more than two decades as a business-oriented technology leader, Idnani has proven ability to drive the growth agenda and improve the performance of retail and e-commerce businesses via technology transformation and simplicity of operations, the statement added.
Before Reliance, he has also worked with Tata’s Trent, Syntel, USA and India, Hi-Tech Consultants, USA and Tata Unisys. Idnani’s stint in the US also involved working with PepsiCo, Borders, Home Depot, and Kmart among others.
