Italy Officially Exits China’s BRI
Italy has formally departed China's grandiose Belt and Road Initiative, a blow to President Xi Jinping's efforts to resurrect the giant infrastructure project.
Italy was the sole G7 country to join BRI four years ago.
According to the Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera, which broke the story first, the long-awaited decision was transmitted to Beijing three days ago.
