The Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency (IREDA) has announced a record financial performance for the fiscal year 2024. According to P.K. Das, Chairman and Managing Director, IREDA sanctioned loans totaling Rs 37,354 crore and disbursed Rs 25,089 crore, marking the highest figures in the company’s history.
The achievement was revealed during the company's annual general meeting. In addition to these milestones, IREDA's net worth reached Rs 8,559 crore by the end of the March quarter.
The agency, operating under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, plays a crucial role as a non-banking financial institution. It focuses on promoting, developing, and extending financial assistance for projects related to new and renewable energy sources and power efficiency and conservation.
