IRB InvIT Fund's SPV Resumes Toll Collection After One Month

The IRB Pathankot Amritsar Toll Road, a Special Purpose Vehicle under the IRB InvIT Fund, has resumed the toll collection on both the toll plazas on Pathankot Amritsar BOT Asset with effect from 15 January 2023. 

While commenting on the development, a spokeswoman for the IRB InvIT Fund said, “We are happy that the toll collection has resumed on both the toll plazas at Ladpalwan on Pathankot end and Waryamnangal on Amritsar end of the asset after a forced suspension for a period of one month.”

He added, “The losses suffered by SPV due to this are liable for compensation as per the provisions of the Concession Agreement; we will initiate necessary action for the same with concerned authorities at an appropriate time.”  

To re-iterate, the SPV had to suspend toll collections for a period of one month, i.e. from 15th December 2022 due to farmers’ agitation in the region.
