Amidst the ongoing concerns related to cybersecurity, the US embassy in India notified of a joint workshop that was convened under the Global Cooperation and Training Framework (GCTF) on Monday.
The workshop witnessed representatives from the United States, India and Taiwan. It was a two-day meeting from 11 to 12 December to deepen operational expertise and share best practices on cybersecurity issues.
The workshop underlined that United States aims to continue its collaboration with India, Taiwan and like-minded partners to tackle shared challenges.
According to the embassy, Taiwan has world-class experts in various fields, including public health, law enforcement, disaster relief, energy cooperation, women's empowerment, digital economy and cyber security, media literacy, and good governance. However, the Taiwanese experts do not find the right platform to participate as many international institutions restrict their participation.
The GCTF allows practitioners from around the globe and this will help the world to understand what Taiwan has to offer and would further strengthen connections between experts in different countries as they tackle 21st-century problems that do not respect borders, the embassy said.
