The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Monday said that it has administered a total of 25,23,089 COVID-19 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours which took the cumulative figure of 68.75 Cr (68,75,41,762).
The ministry in an official statement said, "This has been achieved through 71,77,219 sessions. The recovery of 43,903 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3,21,81,995."
Talking about India's recovery rate, it stands at 97.44 per cent. A total of 38,948 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours in the entire country, said the ministry.
The ministry also said, "Sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs continue the trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases that have been reported for 71 consecutive days now."
Currently, the Active Caseload is 4,04,874. which constitutes 1.23 per cent of the country's total Positive Cases. A total of 14,10,649 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours which pushed the total tally of cumulative tests to 53.14 Cr (53,14,68,867).
Talking about the Weekly Positivity Rate, the ministry stated that it stands at 2.58 per cent which is less than 3 per cent for the last 73 days now. Also, the Daily Positivity rate stands at 2.76% per cent which is again remained below 3 per cent for the last 7 days and below 5 per cent for 91 consecutive days now.
