With the administration of 47,53,081 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 168.98 crore (1,68,98,17,199) as through 1,87,05,424 sessions, informed the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare on Saturday.
The ministry added that 2,30,814 patients have recovered in the last 24 hours and the cumulative tally of recovered patients is now at 4,02,47,902. India’s recovery rate stands at 95.64 per cent.
A total of 1,27,952 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours. India’s active caseload is presently at 13,31,648. Active cases constitute 3.16 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
The last 24 hours saw a total of 16,03,856 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 73.79 cr (73,79,32,233) cumulative tests, according to the ministry.
Meanwhile, the weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 11.21 per cent and the Daily Positivity rate is reported to be 7.98 per cent.
