The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, on Friday, said that India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage crossed the 97 crore (97,14,38,553) mark with the administration of 30,26,483 vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, through 95,66,873 sessions, amid the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.
According to the Health Ministry, the recovery of 19,391 patients in the last 24 hours took the total tally of recovered patients to 3,33,82,100, since the pandemic hit the country.
Meanwhile, India’s recovery rate stands at 98.07 per cent which is at its highest peak, since March 2020.
A total of 16,862 fresh cases were reported in the last 24 hours, which is the lowest recorded daily new cases in 215 days.
Talking about the active caseload, it is presently at 2,03,678, which is the lowest in 216 days. Also, active cases presently constitute 0.60 per cent of the country's total positive cases.
“The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 11,80,148 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 58.88 crore (58,88,44,673) cumulative tests," informed the ministry.
The weekly positivity rate stands at 1.42 per cent which is less than 3 per cent for the last 112 days now.
The daily positivity rate is at 1.43 per cent, remained below 3 per cent for the last 46 days and below 5 per cent for 129 consecutive days now.
