A joint venture of IL&FS Engineering and Construction Company Ltd and Unitech Power Transmission Ltd has won a project worth Rs 153.99 crore in Gujarat from Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd (PGCIL).
The scope of work includes supply contract for Tower Package-TW02 for 765kV D/C Bhuj-Banaskanta Transmission Line (Part-II) associated with Green Energy Corridors: Inter-State Transmission Scheme (ISTS) - Part C along with contract for construction works of this line in the state of Gujarat, IL&FS Engineering Services said.
The project completion period is 24 months from the date of issue of the letter of award.
The project, won under an international competitive bidding process, is funded by the KFW Bank, IL&FS Engineering Services said.
At present the company is executing rural electrification works in Uttar Pradesh for Paschimanchal Vidhyut Vitran Nigam Ltd worth around Rs 389.28 crore, and for Madhyanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam Ltd worth Rs. 474.92 crore.
It is is also executing similar works for West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd worth more than Rs 600 Crores for 3,000 villages.
