Branding is often being associated with products, companies and campaigns but the digital revolution has turned the tables around the globe. Human beings are also perceived by their activities on different social platforms.
As quoted by Tom Peters in Fast Company "All of us need to understand the importance of branding. We are CEOs of our own companies: Me Inc. To be in business today, our most important job is to be head marketer for the brand called You."

She urged audience at WEF to go BOLD (Branding Out Loud), BIG (Branding in their Innovated Gifts), BAD (Branded and Disruptive ). With that she meant the following;
" BOLD - Show your authentic self online. Uniqueness is the key to excel on social media. Build a consistency in your profiles on different social platforms, like your ideology on Facebook should match with twitter.
" BIG- Identify your core talents and gifts. Polish and Sell your best online to increase your stature and goodwill of your business.
" BAD - Pledge to develop your USP and work to evolve and flourish the same.
Ritusmita Biswas, Director at SDB Digital Brandz Pvt. Ltd India said that one must be genuine in creating their brand online as it may lose authenticity if the one's offline self-doesn't match one's online image. There is a persistent pressure to be opinionated, to look, god, to travel and enjoy life but one must not lose the self in the changing trends. The key to brand self-lies in being the true and best version of self not a replica of someone else.
