Huawei’s sub-brand Honor announced the official roll out of Face Unlock update for the Honor 7X. The smart intelligent Face Unlock feature will be available via HOTA (Huawei's Over the air update), and will be completed by mid-March 2018.
After the Honor View 10 and Honor 9 Lite, Honor 7X will be third smartphone in Honor’s portfolio to support Face Unlock feature.
Honor 7X comes in two RAM+ Storage configuration of 4GB+32GB and 4GB+64GB. Price in India of Honor 7X starts from Rs 12,999 for 32GB and Rs 15,999 for 64GB variant. The handset is available in gold, blue and black colours.
Honor 7X runs on EMUI 5.1 which is based on Android 7.0 Nougat. It is powered by Huawei’s Kirin 659 octa-core processor coupled with 4GB RAM. It has 64GB internal storage which is expandable up to 256GB through a hybrid dual-SIM configuration.
The metal body handset features a 5.93-inch FHD+ (2160x1080) FullView display with 18:9 aspect ratio. Honor 7X sports a 16-megapixel+2-megapixel dual rear camera with Portrait mode, PDAF and LED flash. On the front is an 8-megapixel selfie camera.
The dual-SIM smartphone is backed by a 3340mAh battery. There’s is also a rear mounted fingerprint sensor which unlocks the device in 0.25 seconds. Connectivity options are – Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, USB 2.0, 4G VoLTE, 3.5mm audio-jack, and GPS.
Last month, the company recently announced that the Honor 7X will now be manufactured in partnership with Flex, at Flex’s plant, near Chennai under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
