Hindi Medium Crosses Half Girlfriend’s Business In Second Week
Hindi Medium has proved out to be the right bet for its makers. The movie compiled excellent business in its second weekend at the box-office. Half Girlfriend, on the other hand, failed miserably at the box-office in week 2; witnessing an 80 percent drop in business.
Hindi Medium collected Rs 12.14 crore in second weekend; the business is remarkable as the movie made Rs 12.56 crore in its first weekend. Adding to this, the movie collected another Rs 2.02 crore on its second Monday at the box-office.
The business is higher than its counter release, ‘Half Girlfriend’. Hindi Medium stands at a total collection of Rs 39.55 crore at the box-office.
Arjun Kapoor - Shraddha Kapoor starrer Half Girlfriend is facing a tough time at the box office post week 1. The collections hit rock bottom, as the film only managed to bring in Rs 6.12 crore in week 2.
Half Girlfriend collected Rs 32 crore in week 1 and saw a huge fall of 80 percent in week 2. The movie fell down further on its second Monday, collecting just over Rs 1 crore. The movie now stands at a total collection of Rs 56.31 crore at the box-office.
Irrfan Khan starrer Hindi Medium has fared well with the critics as well as at the box-office. Looking at the trend, the movie has the ability to cross Rs 50 crore mark by the end of week 2. Made at a budget of Rs 15 crore, the movie has brought in great returns at the box-office for its producers and exhibitors.
