We need to have a sound mind and a healthy body to be able to fulfill our dreams, and that's what prompted me to write a book titled 'Alive', said Rachna Chhachhi, founder of RachnaRestores.
While speaking at the Gurugram chapter of the 4th edition of the India Business Literature Festival (IBLF), Chhachhi shed some light on her book ‘Alive’, and talked about the importance of mental wellness as well as physical well-being.
She said that a healthy mind and body can help us lead happier lives. She opened up about her personal experience of falling victim to an illness and how she recovered, which inspires people living with a medical condition to recover.
The Alive is one of the lifestyle books written by Rachna Chhachhi, in which she shares a holistic life plan that can help slow aging and reverse disease. The book is focused on creating healthy daily habits, exercise, proper sleep, and a stress management program.
For this book, Chhachhi interviewed hundreds of people ranging in age from 20 years to 90 years from all over the world about what they do to stay healthy or overcome disease.
"Nothing works out if your mental well-being is not there," she added. "The fear that suppresses us is what makes us not live our true life and be alive every day."
She said, "Mental well-being is governed by how much time we spend with ourselves, so if we nourish our mind, we can fulfill our dreams and live a happy life."
Sleep problems have become very common. Some masters believe that quality sleep is important, while some experts say that an eight-hour sleep is a must. Speaking on this, Chhachhi said, "Both quantity and quality of sleep are important." "Do a calming breathing exercise to get a night of quality sleep, and this will improve your productivity."
The subtitle of the book Alive is 'Lifestyle Changes To Age-Proof Of Your Mind And Body'. Chhachhi said every physical condition or disease comes from accelerated aging and oxidative stress. So, one can practice breathing exercises, and a yoga schedule, step by step. With breathing one can declutter your brain.
