After Alphabet-owned search giant, Google, had announced its plans to rebrand its payment service Google Pay (Gpay) to Google Wallet during its I/O conference in May 2022, the company has begun rolling out the update to "Android users in 39 countries,” according to a statement made by the search-giant to The Verge.
The update is expected to reach Gpay users over the coming days. However, users in India won't see any changes made to the application or its name, as part of the latest update.
The latest update, adds support for Digital IDs. car keys, digital office, and hotel keys.
