With the release of M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story, FoxStar studios, in partnership with KRDS India, has come up with a chatbot to promote the movie.
With the objective to get the people aware and interested about the movie, Fox Star aimed to create an engagement to identify the greatest Dhoni fan. The Chatbot on Facebook Messenger, challenges the fans with 10 random questions on MS Dhoni. A 'six' is awarded for every correct answer, and for every wrong one there is the penalty of a wicket.
The Facebook Chatbot, was hosted on the Messenger of Fox Star Hindi, accessible both on desktop and mobile.
"The movie was all about the 'unknown' facts of the Indian Captain. So, we created a quiz with some Trivia about M.S Dhoni," said Senthil Anand, Head- Account Management, KRDS India.
Questions ranged from famous innings played by MS Dhoni, cricket stats and his partnerships leading to victory. After the completion of the quiz theTrivia Chatbot sent the player a personalised message and poster containing M.S. Dhoni's signature. The message declared him/her 'An Awesome fan' and could be posted and shared on Facebook.
The campaign duration ran from September 25 to October 5.
It was created by KRDS India, a full service digital agency, which has been part of the Facebook's partner programme since its inception in 2010, and has worked on social media and mobile marketing for brands like ICICI Lombard, Ministry of Ayush, Aditya Birla Group, and digital activations for movies like Bahubali, PK, Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Airlift and others.
"So far, there has been over 6,325 users who took up the challenge and have close to 9,300 game plays," Anand said.
