Through her organizations, Mrs India Legacy and Masik Satya, Amisha is working towards making this world a better place for women.
Society cannot flourish without women. Empowering them, therefore, is crucial not only for their personal growth and success but also for the progress of society as a whole.
Growing up, Amisha witnessed many pitfalls of the patriarchy. She saw women struggle to seek education, personal autonomy, and a better standard of living. This fueled her determination to rise to the ranks and work towards empowering fellow women. Amisha's journey from the hospitality sector to becoming an entrepreneur and an ambassador of hope and change is remarkable.
Amisha is the founder of Mrs India Legacy – one of India's most successful beauty pageant organizations. These pageants are not just a celebration of beauty and glamour. Instead, they have proved to be a life-changing experience for hundreds of women. Mrs India Legacy has helped them develop self-confidence, effective communication skills, discipline, and other valuable skills to succeed in life.
Amisha is also the founding member of a philanthropic organization that helps uplift underprivileged Indian communities. Her NGO, Masik Satya, aims at creating awareness and educating women who lack the opportunities to improve their quality of life.
Masik Satya has been instrumental in empowering women from different segments of society. The NGO has organized multiple awareness camps across India. These camps cover a range of topics - from home management to education and health and hygiene. Interactive sessions with professionals ensure that women's needs and troubles are better understood.
One major topic of discussion in these camps is women and girl child education. Different skill development programs are organized to achieve this goal. People from all walks of life are encouraged to pursue higher education and skills that would help them in their journey to achieve job security and financial independence.
Another topic of focus is women's reproductive health. Even today, several Indian communities shy away from openly discussing reproductive health. As a result, many people have limited scientific knowledge about the human body.
Masik Satya aims to eradicate superstitions and educate people about menstruation, pregnancy and childbirth. Women are taught about menstrual hygiene practices and the NGO makes sure that they have access to disposable sanitary napkins and other feminine hygiene products.
Amisha adds, “Our nation can prosper only when women have choices and equal access to resources and opportunities. So, my goal is to work towards creating a more equitable society where women can thrive and reach their full potential. We now plan to expand our initiative and eventually work on a global scale.”
