Speaking at the conference, A M Luthra, Chairman, GroupL Services explained how to choose the services of Facility Management and set a standard to get the services from the service provider. “The user should set a standard to get the services within their affordability,” he said.
Col. Anurodh Mishra, Senior General Manager, Tata Consulting Engineers led the discussion on ‘Should FM be sector or service based.’ “FM’s role is to help the employees to do their activities by providing the primary services,” he observed.
Explaining the ‘Marketing of FM,’ Gary Grover, VP – Administration, HDFC Life said, “Nobody notices my job, until I stop doing it.” He also detailed the importance of FM in daily office routine and the technology advancements in the sector.
Angad Luthra, Managing Director, GroupL spoke about the ‘Blueprint of future FM business models.’ “FM industry is bright only for those who are going to change,” he said.
Evolving from last year's theme on enhancing the user experience, the 2017 conference explored how technological advances are transforming the way the world works and how facilities and workplaces can be created, managed and developed to deliver results for business and society.
The conference also examined new influences of technology, people’s exposure to it, the training required to implement and how these are impacting on the facilities management sector.
The attendees at the conference (collectively) are managing over 100 million square feet of prime office space in India and employing over 10 lakh staff, under their current portfolio.
Launched in 2015, GroupL Connect is the bi-annual flagship conference from GroupL Services.
