Ayushmann Khurrana’s film Dream Girl is likely to collect Rs 8 crore to 10 crore as per as analysts.
According to his recent choice of films and the critically acclaimed scripts, Ayushmann’s films have been commercially successful and have lasted for long at the ticket counters. This paves the way for the film’s box office collection predictions as well.
The critics and audiences can’t seem to stop appreciating the film’s humorous plot, which also contains a mass-appealing subject and sends a social message.
The film trade analysts also mentioned that Dream Girl was likely to surpass the opening-day collection of Badhaai Ho (Rs 7.65 crore) to emerge as Ayushmann’s highest opener ever.
The romantic comedy also stars Nushrat Bharucha and the film revolves around the life of a man who is caught up in a comedy of errors. Educated but unemployed, Karamvir Singh lands a job at a 'friendship call centre' and takes on a woman's voice for his telephonic conversations. But there’s a catch- his male clients end up being besotted by the lovely voice at the other end of the line.
The film is likely to work well both in metro cities as well as tier 2 and 3 towns. This is because the movie is set in a small town and its residents and it is likely to resonate with the masses.
