DC Design has quietly launched a meaner, limited edition of the India-made DC Avanti, dubbed the DC Avanti 310. Production is limited to 31 units, and is priced at Rs 44 Lakhs (Ex-showroom), reports automobile website carandbike.com.
Costing Rs 9 Lakhs more than the regular model, the DC Avanti 310 comes with carbon fibre two piece front splitter, sill extensions and rear diffuser. It also gets a contrasting rear wing made of carbon fibre which, according to the car-maker helps in providing down-force at high speeds. For a better stance, the suspension has been lowered by 20 mm.
It also features new dark finished, forged alloy wheels and LED head and tail-lamps.
The Avanti 310 is continued to powered by the same, Renault sourced, 2.0-litre, turbocharged petrol engine and has a capacity to produce 310 bhp; 60 horses more than stock. While the 6-speed manual transmission is retained, the Avanti 310 will also offer an optional, 6-speed automated transmission (AMT) with steering mounted paddle shifters. It’s interesting to note that the AMT has been developed in-house.
Inside, the Avanti 310 comes with Alcantara leather sport seats and leather on the steering wheel. It will also come with a TFT instrument display for the sport gauges.
The car was first unveiled three-and-a-half years ago in the 2012 Auto Expo in Delhi.
