Hyundai Motor India (HMIL) registered a marginal decline in its sales to 49,588 units vis-à-vis 50,017 units sold last year.
Toyota Kirloskar Motor (TKM) reported a 6.45 per cent rise in domestic sales at 12,403 units against 11,651 units sold in the same month last year. The company exported 1,597 units of the Etios series in October 2017 compared with 974 in the same month last year, a jump of 63.96 per cent.
Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) sales for October 2017, which stood at 51,149 units, dropped by 1.65 per cent from 52,008 units sold during October 2016. In the domestic market, its sales grew marginally to 48,818 units last month compared to 48,729 in October 2016.
Ford India reported a 31.8 per cent decline in total sales at 15,033 units in October this year as compared to 22,043 units in the same month last year. The company’s domestic sales were down 43.82 per cent at 4,218 units last month as against 7,508 in October last year. Its exports during the month also declined by 25.6 per cent to 10,815 units compared to 14,535 in October 2016.
