PV Sindhu and badminton depict the same thing – great victories in multiple championships.
Hailing from a family of players (both her parents have been national-level volleyball players), she has sportsmanship in her genes.
Although her parents played volleyball, she chose badminton because she drew inspiration from Pullela Gopichand, the 2001 All England Open Badminton Champion.
Sindhu has imprinted her name in history as the first Indian woman to secure two Olympic medals - Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020. She became the first Indian to win the BWF World Championship in 2019.
Sindhu received multiple honours and awards, including the Arjuna Award and Padma Bhushan. Moreover, she was ranked 23 among all celebrities with a brand value of USD 26.5 million.
