People from background of mathematics, science and economics will be the most in-demand for future jobs, according to Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates.
Bill Gates often works with disrupters and industry inventors, fund projects for the advancement of community and has collected a data for the future for his conclusion that people with basic knowledge of maths, science and economics will have a good job future.
Gates told LinkedIn executive editor Daniel Roth, “People proficient in these subjects will be the agents of change for all the institutions.”
He added, “I do think of basic knowledge of the sciences, math skills and economics will have a lot of careers in the future will be very demanding on those things."
It is not important to be an expert in these backgrounds but need to develop logical thinking of what can be done in different ways. He said, “It is not necessarily that you'll be writing code, but you need to understand what engineers can do and what they cannot do."
Job market across the world is going through a rough patch and employees are being laid-off to compensate for revenue loss, but the future for people with calculations, numbers or science looks bright. Innovations will be in demand and people who can think differently will be valuable for the organisations.
IT industry particularly faces obstacles hunted by several factors like marginal cost. Niche skills are in demand in various backgrounds. Re-skilled workforce will provide options for the company to carry out work at a minimal cost and workforce involved in these subjects will bring about a revolution.
