Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India has launched its all new 160cc bike – the Honda X-Blade, in the country for Rs 78,500 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The bike was showcased for the first time at Auto Expo 2018 on 7 February. Bookings for X-Blade can be made all Honda dealers across the country at Rs 5,000.
The bike has been aimed at millennials and Gen-Z, and with X-Blade Honda aspires to create a new benchmark in the 160cc motorcycle segment.
Honda X-Blade is powered by 162.71cc air-cooled, 4 stroke, SI engine that churns out output of 10.39kW @ 8500rpm and torque of 13.9Nm @ 6000rpm. The engine is mated to a five speed transmission.
It has first-in-class futuristic looking Robo-Face LED headlamps with aggressive styling. Some other features of Honda X-Blade are street tech digital meter with displays like service due indicator and gear position indicator, dual outlet muffler, razor edged LED tail lamp, aggressive sculpted tank design, and 130mm wide rear tyre with hugger fender for extended road grip.
It even sports monoshock suspension, long seat, sharply designed grab rail to highlight the rear, hazard switch flashing indicator lights, and low maintenance seal cabin.
The X-Blade will be available in 5 colours – Matte Marvel Blue Metallic, Matte Frozen Silver Metallic, Pearl Spartan Red, Pearl Igneous Black, and Matte Marshal Green Metallic.
The 160cc bike measures 2013mm X 786mm X 1115mm, with 1347mm of wheelbase, 160mm of ground clearance, and 12 litres of fuel tank capacity.
Honda X-Blade will have two main direct competitors in the said segment - Bajaj Pulsar NS160, and TVS Apache RTR 160.
