After reciting renowned poet Ghalib’s famous line, "Hazaaron khwahishen aisi ke har khwahish pe dam nikle, Bahut niklay mere armaan, lekin phir bhi kam nikle," Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella said that he is amazed to see the level of energy and creativity among fellow Indians.
“The kind of work young Indians are doing in the field of technology is amazing. I see many budding entrepreneurs, students and even an eight year kid I met today using technology to ease up doing things,” said the Hyderabad borrn global CEO.
In his third visit to India since he took over as the Microsoft CEO post in February 2014, Nadella said that India has immense pool of talent that can empower every person and every organisation in the country and Microsoft would help those people to achieve that.
Nadella also spoke about how technology is bridging the gap between the virtual world and real world. He said in future people and be anywhere from everywhere. On the usage of robotics, he said that Bots can help on ease of doing things.
Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha, who was also present in the conference, said that to succeed in India global tech firms will have to think a little different.
Pointing towards Nadella, he said, “The kind of innovation you do in Silicon Valley will not work in a town like Hazaribagh.”
Nadella’s visit is also looked as a strategically move for the company as the difference between his visit and Apple’s Tim Cook is only about a week. Other high profile tech CEO’s to visit India in recent times are Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg and Google’s Sundar Pichai.
