Uttar Pradesh is all set to invite investment from across the globe for the development of the state. After America, investors from the Gulf region have shown interest in investing in Uttar Pradesh. This comes right at a time when the state is gearing up to hold the Uttar Pradesh Global Investors Summit (GIS), proposed to be held between February 10 and 12, 2023.
According to an official statement issued by the state government on Sunday, interested entrepreneurs from Dubai (UAE) and Abu Dhabi have been extended the invitation to attend the GIS 2023 event.
The six sectors where investors from Gulf have shown interest include power (renewable energy), hospital and medical education, apparel and textiles, agro and food processing, leather and footwear, and infrastructure This was stated by Invest UP, a department of the state government. It may be noted that Invest U.P. has been appointed as the nodal agency for GIS 2023.
This comes just a few days after the UP government issued a release mentioning how a few American companies have shown their willingness to invest in the state.
It is worth mentioning that the state government has set a target of attracting an investment of ₹10 lakh crore through the Uttar Pradesh GIS 2023 event.
