China falls into a slightly different category due to the current "abnormal" nature of relations, which is a result of Beijing's violation of border management agreements, as highlighted by External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar. India wants to ensure that its relations with all countries advance without seeking exclusivity.
Jaishankar further stated that India has witnessed a significant development in connectivity, contacts, and cooperation across the region since his arrival in Santo Domingo on his first official visit to the Dominican Republic. In light of cross-border terrorism, however, Pakistan continues to be an exception, he said on Friday while addressing the diplomatic community and future diplomats at the Dominican Republic's diplomatic school.
We are working to make sure that all of these links strengthen without aiming for exclusivity, whether it be with the U.S., Europe, Russia, or Japan. Due to the boundary issue and the unusual state of our relations right now, China is in a slightly distinct category. That is the result of them breaking agreements regarding border management, according to Jaishankar.
