In a recent development, luxury retailer Coach has agreed to buy fashion brand Kate Spade for a whopping $2.4 billion.
The combined company is in the process of offering a leading luxury lifestyle products to the customers in the form of handbag design, merchandising, supply chain and other retail operations.
“Kate Spade has a truly unique and differentiated brand positioning with a broad lifestyle assortment and strong awareness among consumers, especially millennials,” Coach chief executive officer Victor Luis was quoted as saying in media reports.
It can be highlighted that the fashion brand entered Indian market last month in New Delhi. The brand has opened one store in DLF Emporio and the second one in the Select City Walk mall.
The store has entered India through a long term distribution and with Reliance brands. The brand was founded in 1993 by Kate Brosnahan and her husband Andy Spade.
