India Accelerator (IA) inked a partnership with the Trade Promotion Council for Geospatial and Space Industry (TPCGSI), to accelerate the development of startups in the fields of robotics, unmanned systems and space technology.
The partnership between IA and TPCGSI aims to drive growth in the emerging sectors of robotics and unmanned systems by creating opportunities for startups in areas such as funding, market access, policy research and capacity building.
This collaboration will also bolster IA’s Robotics, Unmanned, and Space Startups (RUMS) division, enabling it to provide further strategic support to promising ventures in these cutting-edge industries.
Ashish Bhatia, Founder and CEO of India Accelerator, expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, “India Accelerator’s role as a ‘UAV Industry Facilitator’ is pivotal. By guiding startups with strategic mentorship, funding, and market access, we’re contributing to the rapid growth of the Indian UAV ecosystem and strengthening national defence capabilities.”
With a strong focus on defence technology, IA has been actively investing in startups like Zulu and Indrajaal, which are developing solutions for the Indian Army. Under the leadership of Lt Gen Anil Chait, Chief Advisor of RUMS, and Partner Arindam Mukhopadhyay, IA continues its mission to support startups revolutionising national security technology.
The partnership and IA’s participation in Drone Shaurya 2024 further strengthen the startup ecosystem in Pune and beyond, setting the stage for continued innovation in unmanned systems and space technology.
