K Madhavan Named New Country Manager Of Disney And Star India
K Madhavan has been appointed as the new Country Manager of Disney and Star India, as per media reports.
The move comes after Sanjay Gupta stepped down from the top spot.
As per reports, all functional heads will now report to Madhavan who will be reporting to Shankar.
Media reports have cited an internal mail confirming the development.
Prior to this, Madhavan was Managing Director of South Business, Star India, since 2016. He is credited with have led the development and growth of the entire television market in the South region.
He currently oversees the business ventures of Star in four southern states and a portfolio of regional channels in Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil and Telugu.
Gupta moved out of Disney and Star India to join Google as its new Country Manager and Vice President of Sales and Operations for India last month.
