HP has unveiled new AI-enabled PCs, aimed at major organisations, startups and retail customers. The HP EliteBook Ultra and HP OmniBook X are HP's first Copilot+ PCs, including the Snapdragon X Elite CPU and a dedicated Neural Processing Unit (NPU) capable of 45 trillion operations per second (TOPS) for running language models and generative AI locally.
Ipsita Dasgupta, Senior Vice President and Managing Director of HP India, termed the event as the start of a new era for AI PCs. She emphasised the potential of these gadgets to improve work productivity, security and personalised experiences for hybrid workstyles, hence contributing to India's digital transformation and economic expansion.
According to the manufacturer, the HP EliteBook Ultra is designed for corporate leaders looking for mobile devices with AI capabilities to improve productivity, collaboration, and security. It features a sleek design, weighs 1.3 kg and can operate for up to 26 hours on a single charge. This laptop has enterprise-grade endpoint security, a 14-inch 2.2K touch display with 100 per cent sRGB, up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 1 TB of PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD storage.
The HP OmniBook X is intended for retail customers, especially creators and freelancers, who want a versatile tablet for tasks like as video editing, graphic design and remote collaboration. The gadget weighs 1.34 kg and has a 14-inch 2.2K touch display with Corning Gorilla Glass NBT, up to 16 GB LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1 TB PCIe NVMe M.2 SSD storage. The model contains powerful AI technologies that improve video quality and cooperation.
Both models have the HP AI Companion, an AI assistant, as well as the Copilot+ PC, which provides a more personalised computing experience. The Poly Camera Pro improves virtual interactions with AI-powered capabilities like as Spotlight, Background Blur and Replace and Auto Framing, while still protecting CPU efficiency and battery life.
In terms of design, both laptops use 50 per cent recycled aluminium in their covers and 100 per cent sustainably produced packaging materials to achieve EPEAT Climate+ Gold Registration and ENERGY STAR Certification.
The HP EliteBook Ultra has Wolf Pro Security Next Gen Antivirus, which uses machine learning to protect against attacks. As a Microsoft Secured-Core PC, it provides hardware security measures that secure user passwords and essential data.
The HP EliteBook Ultra is available in Atmospheric Blue for Rs 1,69,934, while the HP OmniBook X is available in Meteor Silver for Rs 1,39,999.
