One of India’s most popular smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 might soon be getting its successor Redmi Note 5. According to a recent leak on a Chinese website TENAA, the rumoured Xiaomi phones with the codenames MET7/MEE7- almost similar on the specs sheet might be the variants of much-anticipated Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.
According to the website, the phone will run on MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat is powered by a disclosed 2.0GHz octa-core processor which could be a Snapdragon or a MediaTek processor. The phone might come in two RAM+storage variants of 3GB+32 GB and 4GB+64GB, both variants will support MicroSD card with expandable storage up to 128GB.
According to the listing, the Xiaomi smartphones will feature a 5.99-inch FHD (2160 x 1080) display with 18:9 aspect ratio and 2.5D curved glass. The smartphone will sport a dual 12-megapixel rear camera and dual-tone LED flash and on the front a 5-megapixel selfie camera.
The handset is backed by a 4000mAh non-removable battery; there is also a fingerprint sensor below the rear camera for unlocking the device. The rear of the smartphone looks pretty similar to Mi A1.
Connectivity options include- dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Infrared, USB, 4G VoLTE, GPS, and GLONASS. The smartphone measures 158.5 x 75.45 x 8.05mm and weighs 179.5 grams.
