Xiaomi recently launched its much-awaited bezel-less smartphone Mi Mix 2 in India. Priced at Rs 35,999, the smartphone was available on a special preview sale on Tuesday (24 October) from 12 pm onwards- exclusively through Flipkart and Mi.com. The smartphone was sold out within a few minutes after the sale.
Earlier this month, the smartphone went on first preview sale and according to Xiaomi was sold out in less than three minutes. Mi Mix 2 will also be available at offline stores and Mi Home from the first week of November.
Mi Mix 2 runs on MIUI 8.0 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. It is powered by Qualcomm’s fastest Snapdragon 835 Octa-core processor. It has 6GB RAM and 128GB internal storage which is not expandable through a MicroSD card.
The highlight of Mi Mix 2 is its bezel-less 18:9 display; it features a 5.99-inch FHD + (2160x1080) full-screen display. According to Xiaomi, the device has the same size as a 5.5-inch display device but due Mi Mix 2’s bezel-less design, users will get more display area. The company has ditched the proximity sensor instead they use ultrasonic technology for that.

It sports a 12-megapixel Sony IMX386 image sensor with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF autofocus, 4-axis OIS, and two-tone flash at the rear. On the front is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with beauty mode.
Mi Mix 2 is backed by a 3400mAh non-removable battery which supports Quick Charge 3.0. There is a fingerprint scanner below the rear camera, with which you can unlock the device. The handset comes with LTE 4-antenna technology which Xiaomi claims give up to 100 per cent faster 4G service.
Connectivity options are- Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, USB Type-C, 4G VoLTE.
