Around 27.61 crore Ayushman Bharat cards have been distributed till date and Rs 77,298 crore have also been disbursed to six crore people through this scheme, said Union Minister of State (MoS) for Health and Family Welfare, Bharati Pravin Pawar on Thursday.
While inaugurating the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra event at Chenkal, Parassala in Thiruvananthapuram, she said that under the Ayushman Bharat scheme, about 26,735 hospitals have been covered.
She also said that for proper implementation of central schemes in Kerala, the state should cooperate more with the central government.
Pawar said that central schemes enable development at the grassroots level. She stated that women empowerment, tribal welfare, public health, and infrastructure development are the top priorities of the central government.
Pawar also said that Mahila Kisan Drone Kendra scheme launched by the union government promotes women empowerment. Total 15,000 drones will be distributed to women self-help groups all over the country as part of the scheme.
